CORNING, NY – Teachers, students and parents spoke out against Common Core last night, at a forum hosted by the Republican Assembly minority at Corning East High School.

The forum went on almost a couple hours longer than expected, due to all the speakers, nearly 40 of them. By one person’s count, over 300 were there.

People from Hornell, Almond, Jasper-Troupsburg and other area towns were in attendance. Assemblymen Phil Palmesano and Chris Friend, along with State Senator O’Mara listened to statements and complaints about Common Core.
