Congressman Nick Langworthy’s New Years Message

January 1, 2024

As my first year in Congress comes to an end, I want to thank everyone across Western New York and the Southern Tier for the honor of a lifetime to represent you in Congress.

Since I was sworn in last January, I’ve made it my top priority to help get this country back on the right track and pass common-sense legislation that puts the needs of Western New York and the Southern Tier first. I’m proud of the legislation I’ve introduced to meet these unique needs — from my first bill, the Lakes Before Turbines Act, to the Dairy Pricing Opportunity Act, the Energy Choice Act, and the Rural Telehealth and Education Enhancement Act.

One of my proudest accomplishments this year was my work with my Buffalo colleague, Brian Higgins, to successfully pass a bipartisan amendment that preserves the pilot flight training hours that the families of Flight 3407 fought so hard for.

Whether it’s through legislation or constituent service, my office is here to be a voice for you. I have a great team of caseworkers in my district offices who stand ready to help our constituents get the answers they need. From straightening out veterans’ benefits or making sure you get your passport on time, no problem is too big, and no problem is too small.

Looking ahead to the new year, we have a lot of work to do to put our country back on the right track. 2024 will be the first year in our nation’s history that we spend less money than the year before. We will continue to restore fiscal sanity to Washington as we complete the appropriations process and hold the Biden Administration accountable for their reckless spending.

In the coming year, please stay in contact with my office — your feedback helps me to better represent your priorities in Washington.

Wishing you and your family a healthy and prosperous New Year,

Rep. Nicholas A. Langworthy
Member of Congress
