Congressman Reed’s Idea That “Higher Ed Leaders Hate”

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) was interviewed by Insidehighered.com, in an article called “Lawmaker with the Idea Higher Ed Leaders Hate”. and it’s about how Reed wants to channel the money that goes to big college endowments, and give the money instead to student aid.
 
According to Insidehighered.com, Reed’s proposal would require those institutions to take 25 percent of the amount they earn on their endowments annually and pay that money as grants toward students’ cost of attending.
