WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Reed has issued a statement in support of a full travel ban on flights from West Africa:
“We need to care for our patients over politics, and put the Ebola crisis in the hands of medical professionals who will take every action to protect the American people from this disease,” said Reed.” Adding more government is not a solution to mitigating the risk, that’s why I support a full and immediate travel ban from West African nations affected by Ebola.”
Late last week, WLEA linked to an online story from an Albany news outlet, that stated that a spokesperson for Congressman Reed quoted the congressman as being against a travel ban, but in favor of precautions.
