During today’s weekly press call, Congressman Tom Reed was asked if he was going to start carrying a gun, as a result of last week’s shooting of Congressman Steve Scalise in Virgina. Reed would not answer that question, but did answer a question from the Buffalo News about whether he gets death threats. Reed admitted that yes, he does receive death threats, on a regular basis.

Reed also says he will support two GOP bills are being discussed, that would allow for congress members to carry weapons in Washington DC, and allow members of congress to carry guns to public events in their home districts.
