WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tom Reed’s guest at the state of the union address in Washington last night was a pro-fracking activist from Woodhull. WLEA News spoke with Congressman Reed afterwards, who said he was disappointed that the president did not talk about fracking during the State of the Union speech.
Reed also confirmed that he is just finishing up a bill in Washington to help make fracking happen. “I was hoping the president would have respected and stood up for the property rights of those individuals. The president did not, I will, and that’s why we’re moving with legislation because we care about these individuals to protect and take care of the property rights that have been taken away by Albany.”
Reed says there is no house resolution bill number yet, but he did confirm that the pro-fracking legislation is being finalized.
