Corning Man Accused of Selling Marijuana and Meth

CORNING, NY – Members of the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), Troop”E” Uniform Force, NYSP Special Operations Response Team (SORT), Corning Police Department, Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office conducted a narcotic investigation at Walter Smith Terrace, in Corning. Investigators report that they seized approximately 8 ounces of methamphetamine, approximately 8 ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, digital scales and US currency. James M. Youngs, 33, Corning, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree (class A felony) and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (class A misdemeanor). Youngs was arraigned in the Town of Corning Court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail.

Officials say that the arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the New York State Police, the Corning Police Department, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office and the Steuben County District Attorney’s Office.
