Counterfeit $ From NYC Makes Its Way To Alfred

ALFRED, NY – Alfred Village Police Chief Tim O’Grady is reporting that two Bronx natives, living in Alfred, ages 19 and 20, are accused of going into Alfred area businesses with counterfeit 100 dollar bills.
According to O’Grady, the suspects are believed to have bought the counterfeit money in the New York City area, and used the counterfeit bills to try to get change from local businesses in Alfred.
O’Grady also says the Secret Service will get involved with the case.
