County Lawmaker James Kuhl Publicly Thanks Steuben Co Emergency Services

July 23, 2024

Steuben County Lawmaker James Kuhl publicly thanked Steuben County Emergency Services Director Tim Marshall and Deputy Director Ken Forrenz yesterday. Kuhl says that during last week’s storms, there was quick, calm response and good communication.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to commend and thank the Office of Emergency Services and 9-1-1 Department for their efforts during last weeks storms. Under the leadership of Tim Marshall and Ken Forenz there was quick and calm response, good communication and coordination across agencies.
The Fire Departments of Forest View Gang Mills, Coopers Plain Long Acres and Village of Painted Post deserve our gratitude as well for answering the call of our residents in need.

“Additionally, I’d like to thank the Town of Erwin Highway Department and Superintendent Dan Hamilton and Water/Sewer Department Director James Brarens for going above and beyond. Their teams worked long days and nights to keep our residents in the best shape possible considering the damage we experienced.

“Lastly, I want to thank Erwin residents for looking after one another. For those of us without power, it was display after display of caring, generosity and neighbors helping neighbors. In a time of uncertainty, it was truly special.”
