Dangerous Barn Fire In Almond

ALLEGANY COUNTY, NY – The Wellsville Regional News Page reports that there was a bad barn fire in Almond Thanksgiving Day. According to Mike Baldwin at Wellsville Regional News, volunteer firefighters had to deal with unintended gunfire at the scene, because of ammunition inside the burning barn. Flames were visible from I-86. Volunteer Firefighters from Almond, Alfred Station and Andover were there and the Arkport Fire Department was called in to cover the Almond district. There were no reports of injuries. Fire investigators are probing the cause. State Police are investigating.
