TOMPKINS COUNTY, NY – Democrat State Senate candidate Leslie Danks Burke says that Albany leaders should pull the pensions from former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, and former State Senate leader Dean Skelos. “It’s ridiculous,” Danks Burke said. “There are 14 active bills to strip pensions from corrupt officials and voters have been demanding this for years. But nothing gets done. Now we have Republican Dean Skelos and Democrat Sheldon Silver, both corrupt, both convicted, and both about to get pensions paid for by our tax dollars. That offends me as a taxpayer.”
