HORNELL-David J. Hoyt, 73, of 44 Catherine St., Hornell, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. James Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Hornell on February 22, 1944, he was the son of Charles W. & Ruth Marie (Beier) Hoyt, SR.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Charles W. Hoyt, Jr.
David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy M. (Evans) Hoyt. Also surviving are three sons, Darin Joseph (Gretchen) Hoyt, Jasin Michael Hoyt, Michael Frederick (Clair) Hoyt; two daughters, Beth Renee (Hoyt) Woodworth and Lynn Marie (Hoyt) Dagastino; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
At David’s request there will be no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are in care of the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, NY.
David’s family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name be made to the Hornell Area Family YMCA, 18 Center St., Hornell, NY 14843.
