Democrats Honor Thelma Pelych at Grand Opening Of Dem HQ

HORNELL, NY – Local Democrats celebrated the Grand Opening of their Headquarters at 99 Main Street in Hornell with a ribbon cutting and “meet and greet “ . This years ribbon cutting was dedicated to Thelma “Tolly” Pelych who served as City Chamberlain for 44 years.

First elected in 1966 and serving till her retirement in 2011. In addition she was the founding member of the Hornell Womens Democratic Club . Pelych’s daughter Kathy Pelych Green cut the ribbon signaling the opening of headquarters and Mayoral Candidate Richard Argentieri, Common Council Candidates Joseph Bob and Ronald Nasca looked on.

Those in attendance heard from Argentieri on his campaign platform “Hornell A Better Way” after a robust discussion on numerous issues. The crowd enjoyed light refreshments as they socialized and discussed the campaign.

The Democrat Women will host Meet and Greets the following Wednesdays in October 20, 27 from 5-7 PM at headquarter (99 Main Street). The public is encouraged to come out and ask questions , discuss their concerns and issues with Argentieri and the other candidates .
