Steuben County D.A. Brooks Baker says that 38 year old Demetrius Goree of Corning was found guilty by in court, of 1st degree rape, 1st degree sexual abuse and predatory sexual assault. Baker says, Steuben County Deputy District Attorney Joan Merry was the prosecutor. Joan Merry is praising the victim for having the courage to testify against Goree in open court. T
The Deputy D.A. is also thanking the Corning Police.
Goree will be sentenced on August 5.
He will remain in Steuben County Jail until then.
