THURSTON, NY – State Police are currently investigating a drowning that occurred on Monday night, at 5227 Bonny Hill Road in the town of Thurston. State Police were called to that address at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday night, where the report of an individual had entered a small body of water and did not appear again. State Police divers entered the body of water at sunrise and recovered the remains of the missing person.
State Police will release the name of the deceased after proper notifications are made.
The investigation is continuing.
