March 3, 2023

BATH, NY – From Bath Police Chief Colin Taft:

The Village of Bath Police Department executed a “no knock” search warrant on March 2nd, 2023 at 20 W. William St., Apt. 202 in the Village of Bath. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the sales of crystal methamphetamine from the residence. Joseph M. Robinson, street name “Bama”, age 50, residing at that residence, was charged with 2 counts of Felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree. Mr. Robinson is on NYS parole for Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree with intent to sell. Mr. Robinson was taken to Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Court where he will be arraigned. It is unknown if NYS Parole will violate his parole and issue a warrant. Also arrested from inside the residence was Grace L. Schoffner, age 26, also residing at that address, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a felony. Ms. Schoffner was released on appearance tickets for those charges and relayed to Ithaca Police Department where she was wanted for Burglary in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief. The Village of Bath Police Department was assisted on the search warrant by a Corning Police Department Investigator.
