Today is election day, and polls opened at 6am and stay open until 9pm. Remember to flip the ballot over and vote on the five state props.
The biggest race in Steuben County is right here in Hornell, the mayors race, there are actually three candidates in the mayors race, Republican incumbent John Buckley, Democrat 4th ward Alderman Rich Argentieri, there’s also a write in candidate, John Falzarano.
In Canisteo, the big race is a county legislators race, in Hartsville, there’s a supervisors race between Leon Woodworth and Christie Gerhard. In Hornellsville, the town board candidates whose seats are up, are Dave Oakes and Trish Yanni. Yanni is a write-in because Yanni took over for the late Ron Kennel and Trish Yanni took over after the political petition deadline was over.
There are numerous other races in Steuben County and numerous other races in tbe above towns mentioned.
