October 1, 2026

There are no statewide props this time around and no countywide propositions in Steuben or Allegany Counties.
In Steuben County, Jasper and Hornby have propositions. In Hornby, the prop is on whether to allow games of chance if you’re licensed to do so by the Hornby town clerk. In Jasper, the prop is about whether to allow beer to be sold 200 feet from Jasper Troupsburg Central School or the church in Jasper.
In Allegany County, there are props for Alfred and Bolivar. In Alfred the prop is Local Law #3 to increase the terms of office for the highway superintendent from two years to four years. In Bolivar, it’s a prop on whether to extend the term of office for town supervisor from two years to four years.
