End Of Year Legislation Passed By Gov. Hochul

December 26, 2023

ALBANY, NY – Governor Kathy Hochul signed a law so that elections are held on even years. Republicans are against this move, saying it will give an unfair advantage to Democrats to win elections.

The governor also signed a law, so that government officials will be able to see who runs LLC’s (that’s limited liability corporations). The criticism of that new law is, the general public won’t be able to see the list of who runs LLC’s, only government officials.

Also, the governor vetoed the ban on non compete agreements.
