Assemblyman Joe Errigo issued the following statement:
“Gov. Cuomo’s remark that America ‘was never that great’ shows a new level of ignorance we haven’t witnessed from him before,” said Errigo. “While Cuomo may consider his ‘I Love NY’ highway signs an achievement, the rest of this country has been busy making some of the greatest accomplishments the world has ever seen. From cures for widespread illnesses to space exploration and bringing democracy and freedom to repressed countries across the globe, America has been responsible for so many incredible advances in the world. It might be hard to see these things from his helicopter, but this country knows his words are totally and factually wrong.”
