It’s going to be extremely hot in Albany and New York City Thursday, with some calling for temperatures and heat indexes to be in the low 100’s tomorrow. So what about here in Steuben County as far as weather for tomorrow? Will it get that hot locally? Meteorologist Scott Kaplan says it won’t. “Tomorrow, no, not in Steuben County. Friday? Locally, it’ll be hot but not quite that hot in Steuben County. New York City could get up close to 100 degrees, Albany? Less than that, though the heat index could get up to around 100 in Albany. In Steuben County though, it won’t be that hot, however, it’ll be hotter on Friday in Steuben Co, than it will be Thursday,” Kaplan stated.
