Murder in Alfred

On Thursday, June 26th, at approximately 3:39am, the Alfred Police Department responded to 1407 Waterwells Rd., trailer 2 in the Town of Alfred for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival police found Jacob M. gray, age 29 from Farmington NY deceased from apparent stab wound. Police say it has been determined that following a brief altercation, Roy E. Martinez, age 26, from Alfred, stabbed Gray, which resulted in Gray’s death.
Martinez has been charged with 2nd degree murder and 1st degree manslaughter. He was arraigned in the Town of Alfred Court and remanded to Allegany County Jail.
