On October 2, 2021 at 12:15 P.M., Troopers out of SP Amity were dispatched to a possible house fire/explosion on County Route 18 in the town of Alma. The residence is completely demolished/engulfed. The NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation and multiple fire departments are on scene.
UPDATE- One deceased body was located in the residence. No causes of death or cause for the residential explosion at this time. The body was removed from the scene and sent to the Medical Examiners for identification.
