FROM NYSP: The New York State Police and emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a small-engine plane crash on Morton Hill Road in the town of Hornellsville, Steuben County.
One fatality has been confirmed. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Morton Hill Road is closed in the area, and the scene remains active. The public is asked to avoid the area to allow emergency responders and investigators to safely conduct operations.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified.
