In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected approximately 26.5 million people, and there have been over 447,000 deaths. According to the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 tracker, there have been 1,433,304 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 35,631 deaths statewide. As of 3:10 p.m. on February 3, Allegany County’s statistics are as follows:

Confirmed Cases: 2,664 (20 new)
Recovered Cases: 2,493
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 54 (Depending on reporting times and agencies, this figure may vary between different reports.)

Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 9,360
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 532

Effective later today, the Allegany County Department of Health will begin reporting statistics via a County Dashboard at https://arcg.is/0KGnyu. While we will continue to send press releases with the daily statistics for approximately a week, we are transitioning to this means of reporting in an effort to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information in conjunction with the NYSDOH statistics as some entities report directly to New York State and not to the County Health Department. You will notice that some statistics will migrate to the NYS reported numbers (to include deaths, tests administered, etc.) in an effort to mitigate discrepancies between data sets.*
