FROM THE BATH FIRE DEPT: The Bath Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Super 8 Motel at 333 West Morris Street at 7:13 p.m., originally as a trash dumpster fire. More calls came in seeing flames and heavy black smoke coming from the rear of the motel. A full second alarm was then dispatched for mutual aid companies for a working structure fire. When chief officers arrived on the scene, they found it was actually a large enclosed trailer in the rear parking lot. There were no other exposures close by, so the mutual aid companies were all recalled.
There were no reported injuries. All units were cleared from the scene at 9:12 pm.
