There are flooded areas tonight in the Village of Canisteo and the Town of Canisteo. Officials say parts of Route 248 outside of Canisteo have been washed out already.
Also, officials say to remember to obey the NYS Move Over Law, and if you are driving and see flooding, don’t drive into it. Steuben County Department of Public Works Commissioner Eric Rose says please allow crews and trucks and vehicles to do their work, and slow down around them. Steuben County Public Spokesman Eddie VanStine reiterated that, and said to be very careful tonight on the roads.
