Hornell Varsity Basketball player Gennaro Picco is getting a lot of attention for his high scoring game recently.

Gennaro Picco finished an alley-oop from his brother PJ Picco early in the first quarter that made him the all-time leading scorer in Hornell program history, breaking the 1,375-point mark set by Scott Young in 2006. Gennaro Picco started the game at 1,373 points and finished at 1,391 after scoring 18 points. His career varsity total sits at 1,620 points including the 229 points he scored as an eighth-grader at Houghton Academy. PJ Picco led all scorers in the game with 19 points.
