U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand put out a statement on mother’s day, about how women are still paid less than men in 2018. As a solution, Gillibrand is calling for universal paid family and medical leave. “As a working mom and a lawmaker, Mother’s Day for me raises the question of whether we as a country value women every day of the year.
