U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today endorsed Leslie Danks Burke in her campaign for State Senate in the 58th district. This announcement comes on the heels of the endorsements for Danks Burke from Planned Parenthood and a slew of labor unions.
“I’ve known Leslie for nearly a decade through her work to elevate and elect women with the Democratic Women of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes, and her tireless efforts to increase accountability in government through Trailblazers PAC which she founded in 2016,” said Sen. Gillibrand. “Leslie has been a strong advocate for reproductive health care through her work with Planned Parenthood, and a long time advocate for rural communities. It’s my honor to endorse her own candidacy for State Senate in New York’s 58th district.”
“I’m honored to have the support of Senator Gillibrand, a fierce advocate for the issues that our district cares about, like childcare for our working families, supporting local farmers, fighting for jobs, and supporting local businesses.
