Democrat US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says she’s worked it out so that $1.2 billion dollars is going to various programs, to feed senior citizens. “As a member of the Senate Committee on Aging, I’m committeed to making sure that our older adults in New York State and across the country, can get the nutrition assistance and social interaction that they need to stay healthy,” Gillibrand said yesterday. “I’ve sent a bicameral letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee requesting over $2.5 billion dollars from the Older Americans Act, Title 3C, Nutrition Services Program.”
