Both Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul and Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy, have agreed to do a debate with their opponents. The Hochul/Blakeman debate, will air on NY1 TV. The Langworthy/Gies debate, will be on WETM TV. Regarding the gubenatorial debate, NY1 says there is no exact time/date set yet. “Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul has tentatively agreed to a debate with Republican foe Bruce Blakeman on Spectrum News and NY1, her campaign told Playbook this (Monday) afternoon. As our campaign said back in February, Governor Hochul looks forward to debating Bruce Blakeman and holding him accountable for his record of jacking up property taxes, empowering ICE, and arming a MAGA militia that threatens New Yorkers’ safety,” Hochul campaign spokesperson Sarafina Chitika said. As for the Rep. Nick Langworthy/Aaron Gies debate on WETM, Aaron Gies has made several comments about this on the Gies for Congress, X page. “More debates would serve the common good, regardless of who ‘wins.’ If you agree, share this poster!”
Gies has also posted a Youtube video on FB, where he asks Langworthy for more than one debate. “I’m not playing your game,” Langworthy is seen, telling Gies that he’ll do the debates which are requested by the media, not the ones asked for by Gies.
