Governor Andrew Cuomo has signed an executive order, so that New York State residents will be able to pay their 2018 taxes early. The governor put up an FB posting about that:
I have signed an emergency Executive Order that will allow New Yorkers to pre-pay next year’s property taxes this year, before the new tax law takes effect. Payments must be postmarked by December 31.
Check with your local government and school district to see if you are eligible for to make an early payment. The deadline is December 31, so you must act quickly.
