From Bath State Police:
On April 9th 2021, New York State Police responded to the Steuben County Landfill located at 5632 Turnpike Road, town of Bath, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Preliminary investigation revealed that an operator was backing a truck when victim, James C. Miller, of Hammondsport, was fatally struck as he secured the tailgate of a rollback dumpster. To date, no charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
