Hornell 4th Ward Alderman Steve Peck Is Running Again

February 13, 2025

From Hornell 4th Ward Alderman Steve Peck:

“It has been an honor serving the 4th Ward. I’m pleased to announce my candidacy for my second term as the 4th Ward Alderman.
During my first term we have accomplished so much:
• Replaced vehicles for the Police, Fire, EMS, DPW, and HAT buses, all of which were in need of upgrades.
• Upgraded the Water Pollution Control Plant.
• Repaved over 25 streets and secured funding for two bridge replacements.
• Made significant improvements to Veterans Memorial Park, including updates to the pool house, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, along with the addition of a splash pad.
• Through the DRI award, our downtown received major enhancements with the Streetscapes, Alleyways, Wayfinding, and Public Art projects.
• Finally, our auditors gave the City an A+ for our fiscal responsibility and we remain one of the Top 10 most affordable communities in NYS
“These accomplishments would not have been successful without the leadership of Mayor John Buckley, the contributions of City staff, and the dedication of the Council.

“My commitment to the 4th Ward is to listen, change what needs to be changed, improve what needs improving, and be your voice at Common Council meetings. Through years of volunteerism, I have learned that being a part of the decision making, planning or budgeting processes provides valuable opportunities for input and suggestions.

“I see being an alderman as an opportunity to serve residents, and to help and improve this community we all live in and love. I respectfully ask that on Tuesday November 4, 2025 you cast your vote for Steve Peck as your next 4th Ward Alderman.”
