HORNELL N.Y. – The Common Council met Thursday night and approved resolutions to have a company come in and check the main sewer truck line, that runs from Church down Broadway and the Center street section which partially was fixed last winter that ran down Elm street and finally the run from Elizabeth street that runs down to the sewer treatment plant.

Mayor Shawn Hogan told Alderman that the sewer was installed in the late 1800’s and is very deep. The project will involve running a camera down through the pipe to inspect the 3600 linear feet of pipe and if needed super-heat the original pipe and slide a sleeve inside the existing pipe which is what was done on the Elm street section last winter.
