HORNELL NY – The Hornell City Common Council met Monday night, Mayor Shawn Hogan talked about the contract that he has been negotiating with the Hornell City Fire Department for their services. The four year contract will include a raise, spread out over the four year term. The raise will increase the Firefighters pay 10% over that four year period which begins retroactively back to April 1, 2015. The increments will be 2% in the first year, 2.5% the next year, 2.5% in the following year ending with a 3% increase in the final year of the contract. The Common Council unanimously ratified the contract with Mayor Hogans recommendation.
