HORNELL, NY – The Hornell Common Council has approved the purchase of a new ladder truck for the Hornell City Fire Department. Mayor Hogan offered that the current truck is thirty years old and the time has come to replace the truck.
The fire truck will be bought on a lease / purchase deal for the sum of $1,000,006,000. State Senator Thomas O’Mara secured a grant in the amount of $500,000 dollars and the balance of the truck will paid in payments of $58,000 dollars a year over the next ten years.
