Hornell High’s Large Police Presence This Morning – Due To Non Specific, Online Threats

October 8, 2024

HORNELL, NY – A large police presence at Hornell High School this morning. Hornell Police Chief Ted Murray tells our news department, there were some generic, non specific threats against schools in general, which were made on social media today. Because of that, several officers were sent to Hornell High School this morning. However, Chief Murray says, there were no threats made specifically to Hornell High, the officers who were there, were only there as a precaution.

Also, Hornell School Superintendent Jeremy Palotti says, there were extra officers here this morning to be cautious due to the social media chatter about an odd post.
