FROM HORNELL CITY CLERK HEATHER LISI: Hornell City Hall will be closing at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026 and will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. City offices reopen Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Hornell Area Transit will not run any routes on Labor Day. There is no trash collection in the City of Hornell on Labor Day. Regular trash collection resumes the morning of September 8, 2026. This means collection citywide is delayed one day throughout that week. Residents, still, must have their vehicles off City streets ON THE NIGHT BEFORE TRASH IS NORMALLY PICKED UP.
