Hornell Man Is Charged With 2nd Degree Attempted Murder

HORNELL, NY – Hornell Police report that shortly after 10:00 on Saturday night, August 17, HPD got a call about shots having been fired on Rockwell Street. Police say Michael E. Bloom, 33, of 128 River Street, is charged with Attempted Murder In The Second Degree, Criminal Use of A Firearm in the First Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree.

Hornell Police allege, that three to four shots were fired from a vehicle parked on Hart Street, in the direction of a rear porch on Rockwell Street. OFficials say no one was killed or injured, but that a vehicle was struck. Witnesses say that the vehicle then sped away.

Bloom turned himself in for questioning.
The investigation continues.
