Hornell Officials May Create A Committee To Help St. James

October 11 2014
Hornell Deputy Mayor John Buckley and Hornell IDA Chairman Sam Nasca are talking about setting up a committee to help St. James Hospital (separate from the hospital’s New Vision Task Force).   Appearing on WLEA’s Top Story show, Nasca suggested to Buckley that he become involved with the creation of a committee to save the hospital in Hornell, and Buckley said he was going to speak with Mayor Shawn Hogan about that possibility.

Talk of creating such a committee, follows St. James CEO Jennifer Sullivan’s editorial in the Evening Tribune, where Sullivan said “no provider will be able to sustain inpatient services in Hornell,” though Sullivan did note that residents would have “close to home access to the high quality services they most utilize and most need.”

Jennifer Sullivan will be our guest on the Newsmaker Show on Monday morning after the 8:30 news, on AM 1480 WLEA.
