HORNELL, NY – The budget passed 9 to 1. 3rd ward Alderman John Allison was the lone no vote. There will be a tax increase of 2.9%.
“With plummeting sales tax revenue as a result of the economic shutdown, the Finance Committee and Common Council had to make some very difficult decisions, ultimately passing a responsible on time budget which is reflective of the City’s new fiscal reality,” said Mayor John Buckley.
