From Deputy Mayor Jessica Cleveland: The City of Hornell is proud to announce Marcia Barrett of Cook Street as the recipient of the Citizen’s Recognition Award. This award is given to residents who go above and beyond in making their property stand out in their neighborhoods. “I’m impressed by Marcia’s beautiful property which I like to describe as a hidden ‘garden oasis’. It’s absolutely gorgeous here. The stunning landscaping and the pride displayed elevates not only your property, but the neighborhood as well.”
Bud Burdett, Director of Facility Management and Neighborhood Revitalization echoed Mayor Buckley’s sentiments, “This is really a hidden gem in Hornell. It’s immaculate, and it’s nice to see and acknowledge those who take such pride in their property.”
The garden features a myriad of plants including daisies, hydrangeas, lilies, lavender, hostas, and many more cared for and displayed to perfection with daily weeding, trimming and maintenance. Congratulations to Marcia!
