Hornell School District’s Covid Update

January 7, 2021

HORNELL, NY – from the Hornell School District:

Three students in our district tested positive for COVID-19 today. One is a student at North Hornell and has not been in school since prior to break and therefore, there are no contacts. The second is a Bryant Elementary student and was in school yesterday and did have some contacts. The final student was from the Intermediate School and also was in school yesterday and had some contacts. All contacts have been contacted and quarantined and classrooms are being cleaned.

We continue to remain open for students and will be open tomorrow.

We recognize that hearing daily cases takes a toll on you all. If there is some silver lining here is that we are not nor have we seen spreading of this occurring within the school. Our staff and students are following safety protocols and as a result, we have been able to provide some level of in-person instruction for our students.
