Governor Kathy Hochul late last week announced that she’s putting a hundred million dollars into temporary municipal assistance. Nothing is finalized yet because it still has to go through the state legislature but if they approve it, Hornell will get an additional $347,850, on top of it getting around $180,000. The Hornell Common Council passed a resolution encouraging this. Mayor Buckley says the New York Conference of Mayors was influential in getting this increase.
