December 28th, 2017

HORNELL, NY – The city of Hornell officially swore in its three new Aldermen this evening. They were Rich Argentieri (D), who was victorious over Norman McCumiskey (R) in the 4th Ward, Dan Warriner (R) who beat out Andy Greeley (D) in the 5th ward, and Steve Shinebarger (R) was won over Ron Nasca (D) in the 9th ward.

Hornell City Court Judge David Coddington did the honors with John Buckley leading the ceremony. Normally, Barb Perot would have had those duties but she was unavailable due to a recent injury. Buckley will officially be sworn in as Mayor this Saturday, 1pm on the 2nd floor of the old Courthouse on Allen Street in Hornell.

Argentieri, Warriner, and Shinebarger officially join Democrats Melissa Ponticello (1st ward), Jeffrey Brown (2nd ward), Frederick Lehman (7th ward), John Carbone (10th ward); and Republicans Joseph McKay (3rd ward), Jessica Cleveland (6th ward) and Jim Bassage (8th ward) who all won uncontested races this past November.
