Hornellsville Man Charged For Allegedly Storing Property, Reportedly Stolen From Erie Co

FROM THE SHERIFF”S DEPT: Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on October 17, 2024, deputies and investigators arrested James E. Nelson, age 52, of CR 68, Hornellsville, New York, following an investigation of recreational vehicles reported stolen from Tonawanda, New York, being stored at a location in the Town of Hornellsville. It is alleged that Nelson possessed three stolen recreational vehicles valued in excess of $50,000. Mr. Smith was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony. Nelson was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Court and released.
