Hornellsville Receives Courthouse Renovation Grant

ARKPORT, NY – Hornellsville Town justice Rich Scavo was happy to inform the town board Tuesday night that they have received a $30,000 grant for security and renovation on the Arkport village courthouse. The town currently rents the courthouse from the village which is located behind the fire station.

Unified Court Systems informed Scavo in a formal letter that they had approved the maximum amount allowable which will be broken down as follows; $7,136 for security; $22,890 for construction renovation. The town will be working closely with village DPW head Robert Mauro on the improvements.

Also Scavo had some positive numbers for his first year in office. Town supervisor Ken Isaman commented that “You’ve probably learned a lot in your first year,” with Justice Scavo replying, “I have learned alot!”

Scavo along with fellow Town Justice Eric Buisch hold court 4:30pm on Mondays every month.
