Canisteo, NY – Wind company Invenergy was in the Canisteo Greenwood elementary school this morning to answer questions about their proposed expansion in Steuben county. They plan on locating on private land in the following towns; Cameron, Canisteo, Greenwood, Jasper, Troupsburg, and West Union. According to their website, they plan on creating 150 new construction jobs and 14 permanent jobs. Also they estimate generating $4.9 million per year for schools, towns, county, and fire districts. Construction is scheduled to start in 2019.
